Spring 2012 Tuition and Fees
All Spring 2012 classes meet January 7-May 12.
Acting Classes will have their showcases May 7-12.
Dance Classes will have their showcase on Saturday, May 5.

 

Homeschool Acting (Instructor: Dru Barcus)
Tuesdays 10:30am-12:00pm  REGISTER
Whether you love acting or you’re just getting started, Homeschool Acting provides each student the personalized attention they need to build their confidence and abilities.

Acting III (Instructor: Farrin Gustafson)
Mondays 6:30-8:00pm  REGISTER
Teens will love our challenging, but friendly, approach to both comedic and dramatic scripts and scenes.  Grow in character development, script analysis and stage presence in this innovative class.

Sketch Comedy (Instructor: Dru Barcus)
Tuesdays 5:00-6:30pm REGISTER
Sketch Comedy is as popular as ever from shows like Saturday Night Live to the kid-friendly So Random! on Disney.  This class teaches the style of acting and comic delivery with funny scenes and skits.  Students should have completed or be concurrently enrolled in Acting Bug 101 or another Basic Acting class.

Improvisation (Instructor: Dru Barcus) / Ages 10-18
Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm REGISTER

Improvisation, or performing without a script, can be a terrifying experience for a performer..but with the proper training and structure, improv can become the most thrilling thing you’ll ever do on stage.  Through improvisational principles, games, exercises and warm-ups students will learn how to support teammates, build trust within others and themselves, show initiative, adapt to new situations, and cultivate self confidence!

Fusion (Instructors: Maryclaire Ireland, Desiree Johnson & Shelby Stevens)
Thursdays 4:30-6:30pm  REGISTER TO AUDITION
 Born to dance?  Love to sing?  Fusion is an elite new song and dance team at Stone Oak Youth Theatre & Dance Co.  We are looking for well-trained young singers who can move and talented dancers who can sing to create some amazing performances together.  Our 2011-2012 performance plans include regular community appearances, the Halloween River Parade, Six Flags Stars of the Season, and preparing an audition for Disneyworld Performing Arts On Stage. Our 2012 Summer plans include preparing an audition for the 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Accepted performers will be asked to pay semester tuition and uniform fees.  Please call 210-481-2400 or email frontdesk@soyt.org for an audition appointment or more information.
